Levels of Tension
Today, in the adams centre, we explored and learnt about Lecoq's ideas about the levels of tension in a scene or character within theatre.
SEVEN LEVELS OF TENSION
We then after walking around the room and moving between he states, but this idea in practice and broke up into small groups and created a mini scene using at least 3 different levels of tension within the scene. Nina and I had the idea of me being a hospital patient and she was a nurse. To make the tension more powerful we both started out in a neutral level - 3. I then proceeded to arrest bring my level to a 7 and shaking violently as Nina got freaked out and withdrew from the scene y dropping to a level 1. This contrast was really fun to explore and created a terrific atmosphere. Nina then hyped to level 4 as i dropped to 1 (another contrast). We ended the scene by returnig to a neutral state as if nothing had ever happened even though so much had. VERY AWESOME!
